Perth and Kinross Council, in partnership with Perth and Kinross Countryside Trust, are inviting local people to help shape the regions nature networks.
The council nature networks map is designed to highlight and connect key nature-rich sites across the region. The goal is to create a resilience network of habitats that allows wildlife to thrive and move across the landscape more effectively. For more information on nature networks please see PKCs webpage and NatureScots webpage on nature networks.
Get involved
We are hosting a series of in person and online events to gather local insights. Each session runs from 7pm to 8:30 pm and will cover:
• Nature sites currently mapped
• How your local knowledge can help identify lesser-known sites
• Sites which could form core areas in a Perth & Kinross nature network
• Next steps and how to stay involved
These session focus on the wider rural landscape. A separate project is considering greenspaces in towns and settlements.
