North Perthshire Support Service

North Perthshire Out of Hours Support Service extended

The North Perthshire Out of Hours Support Service has been extended, with the current pilot now running until Sunday 15 November 2026.

The service is available to anyone aged 16 and over living in North Perthshire who may be experiencing difficulties with their mental health or mental wellbeing, substance use, and/or thoughts of suicide. Support is also available for anyone who is concerned about a friend, family member or someone they know.

Available from 8pm to 2am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, the service offers support by phone, text, WhatsApp, email and outreach visits. People can also drop in to the Adult Resource Centre on Jessie Street in Blairgowrie between 8.30pm and 1am.

Learning Disability Week 2025 (8-12 September)

Scottish Learning Disability Week is fast approaching, and across Perth and
Kinross, we’ll be celebrating the voices, talents, and contributions of people with
learning disabilities.
This year’s theme, “I am here”, reflects the powerful message that people with
learning disabilities want to be seen, heard, and included in every part of
community life. It’s a call to recognise presence, promote visibility, and foster
inclusion.

Wednesday 10th September is Suicide Prevention Day and across Perth and Kinross there are many events taking to place to support those facing difficulties as well as those that are the supporters....
 
Many of us have been affected by suicide in some way – whether it is ourselves, a loved one, or someone we know. Suicide is of concern to all of us. It is a leading cause of death among young people and men are three times more likely to take their own lives compared to women. Yet we still find it difficult to talk about suicide.
